Liverpool have lost three home games in a row in the Premier League now and their chances of making it back-to-back titles look slim, so what exactly seems to be the problem with the 'Reds'?
Injuries have mounted up left, right and centre for Jurgen Klopp, and his line-up against Manchester City showed this where they played two midfielders in Fabinho and Henderson in the centre half roles.
Van Dijk has been their biggest loss after he damaged his ACL in a challenge with Everton and England No1 Jordan Pickford back in October, but with fellow defenders Joe Gomez and Joe Matip also suffering from injuries it's been an area in which Liverpool have definitely struggled in.
Allison and the defence are usually rock solid and his two mistakes against Manchester City were uncharacteristic despite Klopp half jokingly blaming it on the fact that the shot-stopper had 'cold feet'.
Once Van Dijk and co return, Liverpool will be better for it because they can get their leader Jordan Henderson back in the middle of the park where he has excelled since Klopp took charge.
The more worrying problems though appear to be with the front three where once over if one of them had an off day you could almost be certain that one of the other two would be on it.
At the moment it seems as though that if Salah isn't scoring, then neither are Liverpool, and the injury to summer signing Diogo Jota wouldn't have helped this.
Jota was on fire after he joined Liverpool from Wolves but his injury has certainly left the team missing him and his return will be welcomed once he is ready to play again.
The 4-1 loss to Manchester City wasn't a true reflection on the game though as without Allison's mistakes the game would have only been 2-1.
Phil Foden also produced his best performance in a City shirt to date with a stunning display, so despite being 10 points adrift of the league leaders, are Liverpool really in that bad of a position?
Like it's been said, everyone knew that the side would have a dip, it's just natural, the way they lost to Brighton and Burnley at home are far more worrying results than the City one, but at the same time there is other sides such as Manchester United when they lost to Sheffield United who have been in nowhere near the form that Liverpool have been in since Klopp took over.
So can Liverpool turn it around then? I'm sure they will and only time will tell, but for now it seems as though they will not be winning back-to-back titles.
