Frank Lampard's time at Chelsea has come to an end today after the 42 year-old was sacked by owner Roman Abramovich due to recent results.
Lampard spent big in the summer transfer window bringing in players such as Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz just to name a few but the players have failed to deliver, and Lampard's spell at the club is over.
When you look at the time Manchester United have given Solskjaer and Arsenal with Arteta you can't help but feel that Frank deserved more time and despite it looking like it has been on the cards, I still think he'll be shocked the club has taken action and have almost immediately replaced him with former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.
It's shocked many pundits as well that Lampard has lost his job, with Paul Merson speaking on Sky Sports and saying that he thinks he should have been given more time.
Rio Ferdinand has also spoken to BT Sport (and he gave his thoughts on the sacking below.
He may have been on a bad run but how is a manager who hasn't been in management that long supposed to learn and improve when he isn't in a job?
Tuchel isn't exactly going to be a certainty to get more out of the players than Frank did, after all, his sacking at PSG came after he fell out with the board over players.
Roman Abramovich has had 14 managers at the club since taking over in 2003, and not even a Chelsea legend could get more time out of the Russian, which goes to show how difficult it is being in charge at Chelsea.
Time will only tell whether this was the right decision though and for now, Frank's got the blues.
