Aintree Festival Day Two Review - Patrick Mullins rides all important winner on Grand National eve.

Updated: Oct 28, 2022

Day Two of the Aintree Festival has just finished so lets take a look at all of the results from the day in this quick round.

Tronador scorched clear under Jack Kennedy to win the first race of the day at a cool price of 22/1.

Edwardstone ran another cracker back in third and it shows that this horse is still worth watching in the future.

Belfast Banter won the second and looked as though he was laughing at them as he cruised up on the turn into the home straight.

However he had to dig deep in the end after being pushed all the way by Do Your Job but he still won with a little bit in hand, and this horse has progressed an unbelievable amount this season.

Chantry House was an easy winner of the third after he was aided by his main danger Espoir De Romay falling 2 out when still looking like he was travelling.

Race four was won by Fakir D'oudairies who put in a scintillating display to dismantle his rivals in the Marsh Chase.

The Topham was won by Livelovelaugh who gave Patrick Mullins a great spin over the National fences ahead of the big one, and Ahoy Senor took the Novices' Hurdle with a front running ride under Derek Fox to win at 66/1.

In the conditonals race to end the day it was Rowland Ward who came out on top under Charlie Hammond for the Stuart Edmunds stable.

Let's all rest now and get ready for the big one tomorrow shall we?
